It has been said that sadly it is time for Nip/Tuck to come to an end. LA.com reported back in January that Nip/Tuck has decided to end while they are still on a high note. After watching part of this season I find it hard to believe that they are going to just end this season. It has been extremely action packed and had quite a few surprises in the season.
I am not saying that I do not believe that it is ending, but I just do not understand why they are ending it. Sadly with many shows when it gets into its sixth and seventh season typically you know to expect this, but I know that I will really miss this show!
Everyone that I know that has saw this show falls in love with it, partly because we can relate to some of the horrific events in the show and partly because some of the adventures in the show are so far out of most peoples reality we just have to live vicariously through the show. I mean when else are we going to be able to watch pedophiles be killed and fed with ham to alligators? I am pretty sure that Nip/Tuck will my only experience of anything like that! Or how else will most of us know what it is like to be drugged wake up without a kidney? I hope that Nip/Tuck is the only time I experience something like that. I also know that it is the only time that I will love and hate someone like Christen so much!
I am very curious to see how they will end this show! Hopefully they decide to do at least one more season! I would really enjoy that at least! What about you? Are you going to miss Nip/Tuck?
Entourage is also one of the many movie channel shows that is coming to cable TV. Starting January 12, SPIKE will be reairing all past episodes of Entourage. They will be running it as a season though (all episodes will be aired in order) so you can catch up on all of the old happenings of the show.
I would be very excited about this, but I recently have been working on catching up on all of the Entourage seasons through Netflix. I would not say that this is the best show to learn anything from, however I highly enjoy watching it. It definitely is for entertainment purposes, and maybe to make you jealous that you are not a famous movie star. Wouldn’t it be nice to have your own Entourage?
Will you be tuning in for SPIKE’s airings of Entourage? Or have you already watched the show? Are you a fan of the dear old Vince Chase clan?
The CW is starting their new show Life Unexpected in January, it will be taking the spot after One Tree Hill on Monday nights which is currently held by Gossip Girl. That means that Gossip Girl will be taking an break for a while. Life Unexpected is a show that they are saying will be liked by the fans of Privileged and Gilmore Girl. The show is described by Entertainment Weekly’s Ken Tucker, “It’s about about a teenager, Lux (Britt Robertson), who was abandoned at birth and reconnects with her birth parents, played by Roswell’s Shiri Appleby and Mad Men’s Kristoffer Polaha, who are no longer a couple but agree to assume parenting responsibilities when Lux reenters their lives.”
You can read more about this show, and its producer’s interview with Ken Tucker here.
Life Unexpected starts on the CW on Monday, January 18, 2009. I cannot wait to see it, are you looking forward to this new show?
In case you did not know ABC has decided to cancel a few shows this year, some of them include the brand new shows Hank and Eastwick. They have also decided to cancel Samantha Who? after 3 seasons.
They decided to cancel Samantha Who? due to the high cost it too to make it. They did try to find other ways to make the show last, but they decided to end the show instead. They picked up ten new shows and in turn decided that it was time for Samantha Who? to end.
Personally this is a show that I never watched on a weekly basis, but I really enjoyed it every time that I did watch it. It did have a good long run, and it got quite a bit of a following. Part of the following was due to Christina Applegate’s battling breast cancer while still working on the sit com. I wonder what she will focus her time on now?
Hank and Eastwick were some of the new shows that ABC just picked up and aired this fall. They felt that they did not have enough following to justify keeping spending money on them. Personally I really enjoyed both of these shows. I do know that there is talk about some other networks picking up Eastwick. I am not a fan of most shows like Eastwick, but I truly enjoyed watching this show, hopefully it will be picked up and put onto another network.
Are you going to miss any of these shows?
For all of the Curb Your Enthusiasm fans out there who no longer have HBO we have good news for you! It has been announced that Curb Your Enthusiasm is going to come to cable television! Starting next year Curb Your Enthusiasm reruns will show on the TV Guide Channel. Then in 2013 the show will be airing on TV Land.
I had HBO for a short while as a promotion from our satellite provider. This gave me a taste of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which I did enjoy. It was not a show I became addicted to, but I did think that it was quite hilarious. My one downfall is that I like to watch shows from the beginning, I guess now I will have my chance to watch them on cable! What do you think of this show? Are you excited for this news?
So I just happened to read that TNT has now made a final decision to cut Raising the Bar from their network. I would have to agree that the first season did seem to be much more intense than the second season, but I still enjoyed the show quite a bit! I thought that things were really going to work out for this show. After their first season there was so much hype about the show I am quite surprised that they had such a small following for their second season!
According to E Online! article on the subject, Raising the Bar’s views almost went down to half the viewers for the second season from the first season! “Raising the Bar premiered to 7.7 million viewers last fall, but the second-season premiere was down to 3.6 million…”
The same E Online! article does confirm that TNT has renewed Hawthorne and Leverage. They also have picked up Southland, which was dropped by NBC. I heard that Southland would not air on TNT until 2011 at the earliest; I am not sure how accurate that information is though. They also state that they do not foresee any reason for The Closer to end, which does make me very happy! Sadly for all of you Saving Grace fans, this show also was not renewed and will only air again to show it’s final pre-recorded shows next summer. For those of you thinking “What about Dark Blue?” you are not alone! We all still are wondering if it will be renewed or not!
I am wondering what happened with Trust Me? I really enjoyed that show; maybe I just have an abnormal taste in shows. I seem to like many that do not stay on for long!
