This blog is about all of the trials and tribulations in life. It will be about anything that I may feel like writing about, or anything you ask me to write about. From entertainment, TV, music, movies, and anything else!
A company that I currently work for transcribing sent me an email recently that they started a new program called “Call Troops”. What it is a way to get messages to your friends and family members in the military.
This is a completely free service for you to use, and a very simple and quick process as well. You just call 1-800-DO-CALL-TROOPS or 1-800-362-2558 and then speaking. Still a bit confused? Well let me explain more, your biggest question probably is how do I know my loved ones will receive the message I want to send? Well that is simple you go to their website, calltroops.us and Create An Extension for your loved one!
Please help to spread the word about this amazing new service that is being offered! You cannot beat free ways to contact your loved ones overseas especially during the holiday season.
Today I received an email that really shocked and amazed me! This is so amazing and great, please continue to pass this word along!
Xerox has started a new website and program to say Thank You to our troops over seas! If you go to http://www.LetsSayThanks.com/ then you will be able to pick a card, personalize it (but nothing too personal) and submit it. The small amount of personalizing that you add to the card is; your name, your home town, and then whatever pre-written personalized message that you have chose, or you can chose to write in your own. Then Xerox will add in your personalized touches, print your card, and send it to a soldier overseas. I really believe that everyone should take the two minutes out of their day to send them a card this holiday season! It is really important to thank those who give us our freedom!
And I am sorry, but your comments will be deleted if they are putting down any soldiers or the war. I have not asked if you agree with the war, and that is besides the point! I am just asking everyone to support those who risk their lives for our freedom here. Supporting a soldier is not support a war! :) Thank you for being respectful!
The picture the the left is one of the many cards that you can select to print and send to a solider.
I saw this Military Tribute on Facebook, and I just thought that it was something more people should see! It is just simply an amazing tribute to the men and women who deserve it most!
Awe, this is just so incredibly sweet! It almost made me cry! I know that my dog would react the same way if I was gone for so long! This dog couldn't be any happier or prouder of her military dad! Too sweet!
So I would like to apologize that this was not posted this morning, but of course I could not go the whole day without taking a moment to give my thanks to all veterans out there on this amazing Veteran’s Day!
As I always say, HOME OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE! At the POW, MIA, KIA, Veterans Rally that I go to every August sells shirts with this on it, and I think that is one of the best sayings that I have ever heard. It is a direct and simple way to get people to really think about why they have what they have!
Thank you to every Veteran out there! To the ones who have given their lives, to the ones who have given their sight, to the ones who have given their limbs, to the ones who have given their hearing, to the ones who have given their mobility, and to all others who may have been injured in war, or after war… THANK YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART AND LIFE! I know that I could never have the luxury of following my dreams and living the life that I have if it was not for you! Thank you to all of the families who have lost their own American Hero during the wars. I hope you know that their bravery will never been forgotten or taken for granted!
I would love to thank a veteran today; I would love to thank them all for their amazing ability to give their life to and for their country! You are an amazing set of people, who deserve so much more than you have got! May you never have to deal with protester's, or negative words because you are the one giving them their rights to protest! May you always know what you did is greatly appreciated by so many people; if you do not see it or do not believe it email me (teenskee@gmail.com), IM me (christinamh86@yahoo.com), contact me on here and I would be glad to give you many thanks from all of my grateful friends and loved ones!
Once again, I have to say just a simple thank you that I mean in no simple way!
The whole incident today made me think of my annual trip to Winter Park, Colorado. I go there every year for a Motor Cycle Rally that honors Prisoners O War, Missing In Action, Killed In Action and all Veterans from all wars. This is an amazing experience and time for me. It is probably my favorite time of the entire year! I have attached some of my pictures for you to take a look at.

So of course I must take time out to mention the horrific incident that happened at the Ft. Hood Army base in Texas. Of course this just happened during my sister’s first trip to Texas, but she is in Dallas so she was very lucky! Unlike all the people who were stationed at, working at and visiting Fort Hood today. I am sure many of you have heard about the incident, but if you have not here is a brief rundown of the incident.
Today Major Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire on Fort Hood Military Base located in Texas. 12 people were killed while 31 others have been reported injured. The shooter was first reported as killed, but he was only severely injured. He was an Army Psychiatrist who was reportedly promoted to Major in May. He was set to deploy November 28, and it was said that he was “very upset” about it. The shooting took place in the Soldier Readiness Center. This is where all soldiers who are preparing to deploy, or who have just returned from war go for their medical screenings.
